Backache … 

It’s Saturday close to 4pm now. I am homely, lying in bed feeling the occasional backache. Having a toddler in bed every night also means disrupted sleep. My backache is caused by poor sleeping posture as I reach over to my boy when he seeks comfort.

Usually, at this time I will go through some assessment books with Leia but today my back hurts and I need to rest in bed. If only have time, I would have head to the Chinese bonesetter or massage to ease the discomfort.

This afternoon we watched The Boss Baby at home & playing the new train toy. Lisa is helping to tend the kids now as I rest. By my bedside, I have water with Chia Seed.


Bret commented in a slightly worried tone, “Your mug looks expensive, is it ??” I was surprised that he could tell and I just smiled to him and looked away, hoping to change the subject. Got it during Le creuset sales, they were having 1-for-1 so the damaged was not too bad.

Our latest toy in the house, a magnetic train toy from Hape. I got it from Baby Fair at Suntec yesterday. And it was a Long day with my Best Friend. We did quite a list interesting stuff together including super long & late supper with common friends.

Friday night ended 3am and explains my current zombie mode. Although we rarely end our night beyond midnight as Bret and I cannot help feel guilty towards my kids next day. Our much-needed rest replaced the quality time with them. Though in bed, I managed to schedule some fun & playdate for Leia.

Herbal Chicken Soup in Carribean Blue French Oven 

Being mom, I gave up personal time where I used to have weekly spa and anytime-evening dinners with friends. Now, after work means home to my kids. They are waiting for me and I miss them too.

New interest were inspired by my children.

Last week, I made herbal chicken soup for Leia using a new round French oven in Carribean blue.


I added 2 bottles Brand’s Essence of Chicken into the soup. Once a week, I prepare herbal soup for Leia to boost her energy and immune system.

Truly love the pot because the premium cast iron retains heat really well. Only need to use a medium to low heat & most importantly, locks in the nutrients and flavour of ingredients more effectively than other cookware. The cool turquoise shade delivers a visual-therapeutic effect as I cook for my family.

I told my friend, the Le Creuset I have at home gonna be one of my legacy with memories.

Le Creuset Chiffon Pink – Chinese Fried Rice 

I have started using my very first Le Creuset Chiffon Pink Buffet Cassorole to cook some dishes. The iron cast material helps retain heat very well,  rice gets to absorb the flavour of the ingredients.


Homecooked fried rice tasted better than before. For side dishes, I have pan-fried smoked duck & steamed sweet corns.

I love having Le Creuset on my dining table. Makes me & Leia happy!

First Collection 

One morning, my Mother accompanied me to Le Creuset family sales. There was a queue even before the door was opened. At 10.30am, the sales begun. 


Besides fun-looking, pastel wares, we saw chic dedicated mothers and groups of Japanese & Korean mothers. Carrying my baby bump, the ladies were exceptionally kind and careful when near me. As the crowd gets more intensed, I had to step out of the room for breather. Thankful my Mother was with me. She helped me picked some stonewares which she personally likes a lot.

An hour passed, we walked out with heavy shopping bags. In need for breakfast to fill our stomach. We shared an Ultimate All-Day Breakfast with my dear Mother. 


Happy mum and happy me. I have my first collection of Le Creusets. 


Quite a load…mainly stoneware. Gotten a honey pot for my Yuzu citron tea and many more. 


Evening time, Leia had her dinner served in pink lovely dinner set. Visually satisfying, she was in awe and finished everything. 


The following day I prepared a simple breakfast. Leia requested for soft-boiled egg & I surprised with her a lavender setting. 


On the table was pretty ramekin and cookies in flower bowl.
