Yesterday our family of three shopped at uniqlo. Leia chose her wind breaker & jacket.
September is a special time for my family where we bring Leia on an vacation to celebrate her birthday month. This year, we are heading Switzerland-Germany for the first time. I prepared Leia by telling her it is going to be a long journey on airplane.
My cousin Evan & her family lives in Zurich so we will be spending some days at her place. Evan kept telling me to plan early and when we finally did, I felt my head exploding. Long story… will share about the tedious planning after my 11 days trip.
We have packed our luggages and could see that Bret and Leia are excited about our 1st Europe trip.
It seems like I have become an avid collector for Innisfree products. Last week, I gotten the No Sebum Mineral Pact from the store. The reason was because I wanted to fix the solution of oily eyelids. Whenever I wear bb cushion, a line runs into the eyelid crease and friends would ask, “Are you wearing double eyelid stickers?” Duh.
Problems come with solutions. Previously, I relied on eye shadow to keep my eye lids matte until I saw a very affordable solution.

It is a Replacement powder pact for oil control paper making the skin soft and matte
1. Double sebum-control system controls secretion of sebum to keep the skin soft and fresh all day long.
2. Jeju natural mineral and mint ingredients control skin oil and moisture to keep the skin healthy.
How to use:
In the last stage of your daily skincare routine or makeup, use powder puff to gently apply onto entire face or sebum concentrated areas.
What I like:
- Very light and soft on skin, I don’t feel anything on the eyelids
- Colourless, great for natural make up
- Works effectively to control shine and oil
- Price-Friendly and I think I can use it for a long time
What I do not like:
Having oily eyelids, eyeliner tends to smudge on me. Its tough finding the right one… have been years and my bad experiences caused me to avoid eyeliners if possible. Entering Sasa, I decided to give 1028 Ultimate Super Black Eyeliner a try.. I gave into their promising advertisements.
“Super black, Super Thin, Super Quick Dry”
Indeed! I had a smudgeless day which is unusual for me. Happy me went on to learn ways to wear eyeliner.
One of the best beauty videos.
Recent love led me to a korean beauty vlogger, Pony. I like her videos very much. In this video, she uses innisfree make up introducing the Long Wear BB Cushion and Water Glow Cushion. Pony shares the right technique to create the desired effects.
Personally, I favour Water Glow Cushion better as my skin needs endless of moisture. Needless to say, I have converted to Innisfree BB Cushion. I have given Etude House Precious Mineral Pearl Aura BB Cushion to my mother and somehow it suits her better.
Before I saw this video, I was kinda disappointed that water glow bb cushion appeared matt on me. I wondered where are the water and glow? The coverage is acceptable though. So I am going to try layering and patting as demostrated by Pony.
I love the signature dewy glowing korean skin with bright lip colour. Don’t you?
When I first spotted innisfree at Takashimaya, I wasn’t as keen. About 7 years ago, I went seoul. The tour guide & retail assistants “psycho” me to stock up local brand skincare especially the sheet masks but…turned out they were not really effective on my skin … Until recently I chanced upon this ubberly cute skincare commercial.
I was intrigued and grabbed one from the store at my nearest mall. The affordable price tag aroused my curiosity further. Bringing home with me was Olive Real Cleansing Foam. I needed an extremely moisturising cleanser and the price says “buy me!”
Absolutely love the light citrus, calming smell and the rich creamy lather on my skin felt so right. Nourishing and comforting leaving a soft, clean and supple skin. Shopping with innisfree comes with samples. Tried The Green Tea Seed Oil … love love love. Officially in love again.

Green shoppers will also be pleased to know that innisfree makes a point to use recyclable materials and biodegradable soy ink as part of its beautifully minimalistic packaging. The products are also free of the Big Four baddies of natural skincare: parabens, animal ingredients, artificial colourants and pore-clogging mineral oils.

I have always felt my heart pinch everytime I discard an elegant, neat empty skincare bottle. Finally, I found a brand that is eco-friendly by encouraging consumers to give them empty bottles to promote green life.
Each time, I watch Korean show I get a new lip colour. B was with me when she witnessed the lip-junkie side of me again. But I just have to get this especially after I watched Get it Beauty-Make Up. The make up artist shows how to deliver different look using the same lip colour from Monday to Friday.
The shade in the video demostration was Ink Lipquid #PK03. Ingredients extracted from flowers for vivid, lasting colour.
Upon application, I was waken up by the refreshing, floral scent and intense moisturising gloss on my lips. It didn’t take long for the gloss to fade out and lip tint was absorbed into matte, natural pink lip colour. Bret and his friend actually commented this lip colour is nice.
What I like:
- Price-Friendly, only S$17
- Very Pretty Colour
- Looks natural
- Last for at least 4 hours
- Does not stain cups !
What I do not like:
- At times, can be drying on lips
