This saturday afternoon, we spent our time at Marina Barrage and Children’s Garden.
Leia scooted beyond Marina Barrage..and we saw lots of greenery. A butterfly was flying near us. We talked about the colors of the butterfly and the story about “Hungry Caterpillar”
We entered an area with many types of Cactus. This reminds me of the Cactus Garden at Cameron Highland.
Have you seen brain cactus?
Out of the cactus garden, I spotted a sign “Big Fish Aquarium”. Didn’t know there was an aquarium..I was curious & little doubtful..we followed the direction and expectation exceeded. It was a hidden aquarium with… truly big fishes. I recognised them… cos my brother rears river fishes.
Leia was hesistant about going near. She insisted Bret on her side. Look at the catfish… little girl and I have seen the species in much smaller size.
Another river fish that really catch Bret’s attention.
After some tourists came, we made our way further up to…
And we found “Adventure Trail” which we had missed out in our 1st visit.
Challenge & obstacles can be fun as we stretch out limits to know what we can really do.
Having a coach to guide and encourage us help us to overcome the fear within ourselves for better us.
Leia does have some sport genes in her.
Bret and I were intrigued by what was ahead too. We walked towards the long metal slides.
I would watch her go down the slide as Bret await her at the other end. Leia had a few go at the slide before proceeding to other “obstacles”.
Leia might have mistaken these for drums. As soon as she realised there was nothing much, she moved on to the “Tree House”.
I held her hand as we walked the wooden trail. Here is Leia and Bret in the “Tree House”. She is seated on a swing.
Getting down was quite an adventure.
We reached the “Water play” area where there is a cafe. Bret got us a drink to quench our thirst.
We shared a bottle of iced green tea.
We spent two wonderful hours at Marina. Weather was pretty good. Dizzling came only after we hopped into Bret’s car.
Leia wants to return again. Sure! She has invented some stunts with her scooter and we love bringing her out.
