Day 1: Santorini, Greece 2014 Part I

Sometime in Feb this year, I met up with a couple who had their honeymoon in Santorini. And by chance, I get to visit my dream vacation this September.  On 2nd September, we began our dream vacation by flying with Emirates. There was a transit at Dubai & then we flew off to Athens, stayed 1 night at the airport hotel.

Next morning, we catch a domestic flight, Aegean Airlines and reached Santorini in 30mins. From the airport, the taxi driver drove us to our hotel at Eur 20. On the way to our hotel, we did not see any beautiful sightings until… the moment arrived.

A young, good looking staff helped us with our lugguage. Then, we checked in to our hotel and the hotel manager gave us Santorini map and a brief info about the island. I asked for his recommendation for restaurants. Then we received a surprise, we were upgraded to the vip suite! Thankful! And I found a stunning view from the reception.

Finally… our suite. The door opened to a foyer for our baggage and wardrobe for clothes.

The bathroom was clean with crisp white wall. I like the mirror.

Then the living room …

I really love the balcony. After a visit to Oia for sunset, Bret and I agreed that Nikolas was right about the best sunset view from our balcony.

Stepped into the balcony, we were transported into a world of paradise images of vivid blue water, massive cliffs, clear blue skies, & clouds.

From the side of our balcony, we saw the iconic white and blue houses.

And now to the staircase that led us to the bedroom…

We have a window and armchair to enjoy the specutacular sea & caldera view.

Here is the bed and dressing table.

The bed was clean and comfortable. We rest on our bed and woke up to Aegean Sea view.
