Along Purvis Street, there is quite a number of chicken rice restaurants.
And last week, I tried Yet Con, true-blue hainanese chicken rice in a vintage looking restaurant established since 1940s. Beelian tried this when her business associate brought her there. She was surrounded by a group of men then. Happy her.
Also famous for hainanese pork chop ! As I’m not a pork person, I didn’t take more than a bite. Personally, the chicken is bit tough and less moist compared to Golden Mile Thien Kee Steamboat.
When I saw their old-school steamboat, I just have to try it!
In love with the vegetables, soup and everything. Tastes similar to Golden Mile Thien Kee Steamboat except that beef slices a bit thick.
The nostalgia coffee house feel makes me want to go back soon.
Check out Travcult for detailed review of the restaurant.
