Today is Monday and I am working from home, planning proposals and scheduling for the week ahead.
What I love most about right now is the weather. I didn’t have to turn on the fan and the breeze coming from the balcony is so perfect. Accompanying me now is Kiss 92 playing songs I like as I work on my macbook air in the living room.
An idyllic moment I am thankful for.

Another new skincare added into my night routine. I have heard a lot of raves & witnessed amazing effects about Estee Lauder‘s star product; serum and eye cream. Because of the price tag, I hesitated for years… until last week my friend helped me to purchase the luxurious serum from airport.
Estee lauder Advanced Night Repair fights all key signs of aging. It is also all-rounder serum that hydrates, brighten and clarify skin.
It is light, non-greasy and moisturising. My skin type is dry and this serum works wonder on me. My face felt instantly pampered with radiance and velvety smooth skin right after application.
So far, its my 3rd night and I look forward to wake up to beautiful skin everyday.
Last month, I couldn’t stop myself from admiring Best Friend B’s stunning colour effects on her eyelids. She was talking and talking and I was looking and looking wondering which eye shadow did she use. So, I popped the question and she introduced creamy eyeshadow with shimmer.
Here’s Shiseido Maquillage Dual Glow Eye in GR273, my latest shimmer eye shadow from Shiseido. Packaging is compact and comes with an applicator. I still prefer to dab the colour with my fourth finger for better control.
After applying, I could see subtle shimmer and dimensional effect of the lustrous colour on my eyelid.
Love the glossy graduation & nourishing effects. Pictures below taken from Shiseido.
There is instructions on the webstie to show the application steps for the effect.
Supposed this is great for day and night use. Great thanks to Best Friend B for helping me to get Dual Glow Eyes 🙂

Recently, the weather is humid and awfully hot. Even so, Bret and I decided to bring Leia to Jurong Bird Park. Another 45 min journey to the west again.
We were in time for 3pm “High Flyers Show” & 4pm “Kings of the Skies Show“. Without a doubt, we enjoyed the first show better. Then we began to walk around the park. The world of darkness was interesting.
Leia had the time of her life at Birdz of Play.
Splashing and getting wet at the bird-theme playground. Leia had her first slide with water.
Our little girl was having so much fun. Being cautious, she avoided the higher slides where older kids were 🙂
Besides water slides, Leia gets to turn, aim and shoot water. Great outdoor play!
After water play, we changed and dried her with towel. Continued to explore further looking for Ostrich, Eagles & Penguins before we leave the Bird Park. As I blogged, my legs aching… did lots of walking but it was fun and I know three of us had a wonderful afternoon at the bird park.
Being there for our child does not just means being in the same room but connecting with them. Doing something together and understanding the heart of our little ones.
I like to make a point to have meals together because its the family interaction and not just the food. Every week, I plan and create teaching moments with lasting impression with activities we enjoyed.
And today, we learnt more about birds, braving the sorching sun, sharing water and walking the adventurous park.

Yesterday I had a bbq gathering with my boss and colleagues. The food was really tasty and I am thankful for the good time. Gonna order from EZ BBQ for my own barbeque session.
At 8pm, Bret and Leia picked me up from east coast park and then we went mil’s thai restaurant for dinner. Restaurant was packed again. Mil and Aunt Roslyn were elated to see us and we had dinner together.
It was hilarious to see my little girl attempting to take order from a table of adults.
Our 3.8 year old did experienced real-life cashier moment. The guests were smiling warmly as they went up to Leia & Aunt Roslyn for payment.
A father told his possibly 7-yr old daughter, “She is the young boss.”
After dinner, we went to my cousin’s newly opened ice cream cafe, The Hideout. Knowing Cousn Daniel has a day business, we were both surprised and glad to see him at the cafe. The first impression for the cafe was, blissful and cozy.
Double chocolate was finished. I decided to have Salted Caramel & Bret chose Peppermint on our Buttermilk Waffle.
The cafe was crowded with happy people. We overheard patrons behind us commenting the waffle is good. Indeed, I like the ice cream even more! According to Cousin Daniel, his partner went Italy to learn Gelato. Woo hoo! No wonder the ice cream is so addictive.
Leia and Bret finished the ice cream and waffle in no time. So happy, she asked me to take a picture of her. We really like the cafe. A cheerful environment and great for hangout.

Best Friend B told me Shevon enjoyed very much at the Science Centre. So on Monday, Bret drove all the way to the west. Here is Leia at the small play area of cafe.
Had wanted to visit Kid’s Stop where Leia gets to experience different occupation. But Bret preferred to visit Science Centre first. Leia was amused by the environment and different stations.
So long as our little girl gets to lay her hands on buttons and objects, she is good.
I’m planning Kids Stop visit with Best Friend B 🙂
