Party ended 9.30pm and Leia finally realised she was hungry. At the ktv room, she only wants to play which I kinda expected. But fret not, I have cooked congee for her at home.
Century Egg Congee with Dried Scallop
During lunch with mil & aunt, I added Salted Egg which went very well with the congee. This is my second bowl after waking up from an unusual afternoon nap.
I followed a famous Taiwanese Chef’s recipe & cooking tips to cook such congee within 20mins. The trick to put rice into freezer before adding into boiling broth. Mil & Aunt commented the congee is similar to commercial standard 🙂
The pork and chicken meat were very tender and Bret likes it. For Leia, I used new plate and mini pot for her congee.
She loves the congee very much.
Leia asked for another bowl of congee… and looked disappointed when I told her we have finished the porridge.
So I took out ice cream!
Her first time scooping real ice cream onto cone.
