Its a min before midnight. Bret have been counting down to our departure from Bangkok(Bkk). All because… he misses Leia and his king-sized bed. I cant wait to see my girl at the Changi Airport Arrival Hall tomorrow.
We stayed Berkeley Hotel, 5 star hotel at the heart of Pratunam. Here’s the reception lobby area. Beautiful.
My designer had wanted this colour for wall but we prefer cream. Nevertheless, grey is an outstanding shade for classic elegance.
The chandeliers in the hotel are beautiful.
Breakfast spread has more wider range for western cusine. Menu for few dishes changes everyday. Its the decor that won our hearts.
Another new thing for us, Indiam Food.
Our hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Platinum Mall(korean fashion mall) and opposite the famous chicken rice in bkk.
Tender Kampong Chicken accompanied with tasty satay. Big Aunt and I shared the Fish Maw Soup.
One of the best oyster omelette I ever had was beside the chicken rice stall. Must-Try! No pics becos cannot stop eating.
My mil’s fav Japanese Restaurant in bkk.
Located at Central World, level 7. In my opinion, similar standard can be found in singapore and prices are 10-20% cheaper for non-beef dishes. I am a beef lover and the prices are more appealing. But I didn’t order because mil and the aunts are buddhist and beef is big no-no.
In this trip, we only used 8 hrs to briefly conquer MBK, Central World, Platinum Mall and Pratunam street stalls. Mil and Aunts’ main agenda were stocking up dried goods and visiting temples. And Bret was only keen to get what he needs so … shopping was
